Description

Train change-of-direction moves to attack a defender's hip.

The constraint

5 cones in a line. Execute crossover, between-legs, behind-back, in-and-out, hesi at each cone.

CLA principle

Cones represent defender hips — attack the line, don't dance behind it.

Coaching points

  • Low-strong dribble at the cone.
  • Hip below cone before changing direction.
  • Accelerate OUT of the move.

Common mistakes

  • Pre-move from 3 feet away.
  • Standing tall through the change.
