Description
Initiate with a pin-down or flare. Cutter reads top-lock, chase, or switch; screener reads slip, pop, or seal.
The constraint
Every possession starts with an off-ball screen; defender choice triggers the read.

Defender behavior dictates cutter/screener read — perception-action coupling.
Coaching points
- Cutter sets up the cut.
- Screener reads after contact.
Common mistakes
- No setup cut.
- Screener flat-footed after the screen.
