Shooting Under Fatigue

Train shot mechanics under representative physical load.

Description

Player sprints full court, receives a pass at the arc, shoots immediately. Partner rebounds and outlets. Switch every 4 reps.

The constraint

Sprint baseline-to-baseline, then take a 3 off the catch. Score 7 before missing 5.

CLA principle

Game shots happen under fatigue; bench-shooting transfer is weak without it.

Coaching points

  • Don't slow the shot to compensate for fatigue — trust the legs.
  • Land balanced.

Common mistakes

  • Resting on the rim instead of holding form.
