Description
Coach feeds a wing in 4v3. Offense reads the rotating defender and attacks downhill, extending the edge with a second drive or skip.
The constraint
Offense must score in 7 seconds; every paint touch resets the clock once.
CLA principle
Numerical advantage forces players to extend an existing edge rather than create one.
Coaching points
- Attack the open side first.
- 0.5 catches — shoot, drive, or pass.
- Skip when two defenders close on the strong side.
Common mistakes
- Holding the ball waiting for a 'play'.
- Passing back instead of forward.
