Wide, Threatening Spacing
Every player stands where the defense has to guard them.
ELI5 — If nobody is scared of you standing there, you're in the wrong spot. Move until your defender has to stay attached.
Why it matters — Spacing is not decoration — it's what makes drives, cuts, and passes actually work. Bad spacing lets one defender guard two players.
- One pass away, one relocation away
- Behind the arc unless cutting
- Fill from strong to weak
- 4-out or 5-out shells
- Corners occupied on drives
- 45° gaps between adjacent players
- Two players share a slot
- A shooter stands inside the arc
- The dunker spot is empty on a drive
